It is my personal goal to continue to play for Team Canada and compete in the next winter Olympics, 2018 Korea. As a recent graduate of Cornell University and two-time Olympic gold medalist, I want to inspire young female hockey players and allow them to develop the necessary skills to fulfill their dreams, as I have mine.
Over the past 5 years we have witnessed a rapid rise in the hockey skills of young female hockey players. Similar to our male counterparts, female players are taking the game of hockey extremely seriously and are looking for opportunities to improve the way they play the game. With an objective of “improved hockey skills” in mind, I have developed a hockey school program that focuses on high tempo skating drills and puck handling, with a specific emphasis on skating edge work control. I personally believe the program will be both challenging and fun for all participants.
